Quick, but important question Cycon: I know you can get points for the beta by uploading videos and such that promoting the site, but is fanart with a touch of advertisment okay too?
I ask this simply because I've done about two or three fanarts talking about the sites grand opening, with me following suit by spreading them around my school for the last week or so (though I of course have no proof to show you I did that), and I have the goal of uploading them to the internet soon enough.
So long question cut short: Does promo fanart get you points for the beta?

It sounds like it'll be fun, with the whole allowing people to create their own highly detailed character, join guilds, have a class syste- WAIT-A-MINUTE-THIS-IS-A-FUCKING-D&D/G AIA-RIP-OFF-SITE.
...actually, I have no problems with that just so long as there is no Gaia mod/admin douchebaggery like back in the day.

That's something that has a 50/50 chance of either working amazingly or failing to the worst level due to people who will be either breaking rules, being assholes (and not in the sarcastic way the old DCK forums used to work), or maybe just not being helpful in some other form or another.
But, I'm fairly certain you've already thought of how to counter that latter result, so I'm sure the result will be the former.

No way dude. I actually loved the DCK forums. In fact, the uncontrollability of it was the thing I enjoyed most along, with the PEOPLE who did the uncontrollability.
Mars, Jiggerstick, Happy the Pirate, Onionburst, Shugo... and if I remember correctly, you posted a couple funny ones too.
To me, the DCK forum was an amazingly fun community of people. Maybe not the most well-built or always new user friendly site (though, again, you had to keep in mind most people were sarcastic there, but the ones who were actually being assholes knew how to ruin things), but it was indeed FUN.
The topics always seemed to have a couple of laughs worth ("Naruto/Luffy Is NOT A Ninja/Pirate" topic for instance), and even the serious ones asking questions and such had a couple of jokes posted that made them stop from being dull without getting too off track. We even had those fun little tid-bits of topics where people would post about drawing people in DCK art style or even their own, which was always a fun one to watch expand with posts.
I'm wondering how you came across the fact that I said I didn't like the DCK forum and the only thing I can come up with is the mention in my post above this one about douchebaggery on the Gaia forum, which you may be confusing with me talking about the old DCK forums.
Simply put, I really have never liked Gaia due to far too many rules on the mod and admin part, making the site less than fun. Their constant expelling of people for simple mistakes or "unwanted" jokes also was annoying as well.
But enough.
Long story short: I DID in fact like the DCK forum. Gaia... not so much.
